Form Builder with
Credit Card Payment
(via PayPal) - $800
Now you can build custom forms that feed into PayPal, so you can process credit card orders from visitors filling out your form. This is really useful for event registration, menu orders, or any form that requires a payment.
This app is very easy to use: all you need to do is pop in your form fields/prices using the form builder, and put in your email address of your PayPal account (free sign-up on paypal.com). You can even have multiple order forms for your site – you only need to purchase the app once.
When visitors use your form they will be able to pay with their credit card through PayPal. Visitors simply complete your form, select the products/services that you set on the form, and they will be directed to your PayPal hosted payment page, where they'll simply enter in their credit card details. After they do so, your PayPal account will be credited. When you're ready to get paid, you'll simply withdraw the funds from your PayPal account, and this will go directly into your bank account.
From your dashboard, you'll be able to access the form results page, which shows all of the data and payment information that your visitors submit.
The form builder will allow you to set a base price for the form, and/or specific prices for certain form options. And, of course, it also allows you to ask for non-price related data. The form supports all currencies that PayPal supports, which includes New Zealand, Australian and US dollars, Euro, and Pound Sterling.
The form builder even allows you to set up custom receipt/confirmation messages with some dynamic data (such as Amount Paid and Payer's Name). For example, if you'd like to send a 'thank you for your order' email, and include the customer's name in this email, this is possible.
The form builder comes pre-set with CAPTCHA (to protect your form from SPAM). You can choose to use this or not. Please keep in mind the captcha device's appearance and functionality is system generated and cannot be customised.
The builder also allows you to choose which page visitors are taken to after they finish their payment. Payments are made securely through PayPal's site; so, SSL is not required with this add-on.
You can set prices for individual checkbox choices, radio button choices, select (drop-down menu) choices, or have a text field that lets users enter their own money amount.
The form is extremely flexible, but please keep in mind that it does not have any 'on-the-fly' functionality. That is to say, you cannot select an item, and have other items appear or disappear based on your selection. Also, the layout and styling of the form is automatically set based on your questions. You can change the order of your questions, but because the layout and styling of the form is automatically generated, it's 'as is'.
Also, please note that there is no within-page order totalling. That is to say, there will be no total or sub-total displaying on the page. The total will, however, be displayed within PayPal's hosted payment page (as the screenshots show), which will be shown once the visitor completes the form.
If you would like to do a 'quantity' based order form (i.e. have your visitors enter in a quantity of a particular product to order), these will then need to be predefined. Let's say you were selling pencils at $1 each. When setting up your form, you would need to enter in 'pencil' as the item, and 1 pencil at $1, 2 pencils at $2s, 3 pencils at $3, and so on. The visitor will be unable to enter a quantity number in a textfield and have the form total the quantity - all quantities will need to be predefined in dropbox. If this important for you, you should consider upgrading to our ecommerce package, which will enable you to have a full shopping cart system. When the order gets passed through to PayPal's payment page, the item will appear there. For example, if your visitor selected 'Two pencils at $2', then this would show in the PayPal payment page, with a quantity of 1.
This app works all by itself. That is, you do not need to purchase any other add-on for it to work. Please keep in mind, as you're going through PayPal you'll be subject to their terms and conditions. Paypal themselves have fees, but they're pretty cheap! They've got no monthly ongoing fees. At the time of this writing, PayPal charges $0.45 per transaction plus between 2.4% and 3.4%..
