My name's John McLean, and I run the design and hosting end of this business. As I will personally be involved in creating your website with you, I thought this biography page was important - it gives you the chance to put a name and face to the company.

When you're about to start a new business relationship, it's important to choose someone you trust, and really feel comfortable with. I've been very frustrated in the past in dealing with large corporations and being treated like a nameless, faceless 'number'. It's my hope that this page will break down those impersonal barriers.

How I Got Into This Business...
I started my first business at the age of 16, designing websites for small businesses all over the country.  Although it was more of a hobby than a job, I quickly learned the ins-and-outs of the world wide web.  After I finished high school, I spent a good 4-5 years at university. I achieved university qualifications in media and advertising, and post-graduate qualifications in industrial psychology. My focus throughout was on business, applying all I could to the Internet.  Although I was very well educated in practical marketing and psychology (which made working in an advertising firm very appealing), I still had this 'drive' to be my own boss, create a business and make it a success.
 
In 2004 I started my own web hosting company, and my team and I successfully managed to convince around 250 clients to change their existing web hosting provider.  Managing my clients taught me an awful lot about business and how it works in the real world.
 
The main lesson I learned was you can't over-complicate things!  The easier you make things on people the better.  I took that philosophy when I created this business and haven't looked back.
 
A Little About Me...
I guess you could say, I'm a very hardworking, 'goal-orientated' kinda guy.  I'm committed to continual improvement and I have aspirations of 'making it to the top' by helping others get closer to their dreams through sharing what I know.  
 
I have a passion for people and a passion for 'making things work'.  When I'm not working I love socialising, a quiet night relaxing, or a good game of tennis.  I currently reside in North Shore City, New Zealand, with no immediate plans to move away from this small spot o' paradise.
